When someone checks in to an open home using Pocket, Rex can automatically send them a thank you email and SMS. You can replace the default wording with your own message, so attendees hear from your agency in your own voice.
This article covers where to find the thank you templates, how to override the default email and SMS wording, and some tips for writing a message that works for everyone in your account.
Where to Find the Thank You Templates
The thank you messages sent after an open home check-in in Pocket have their own dedicated settings under Settings > Advanced Settings > Open Homes > Kiosk - Thanks for Attending Templates.
Please Note: These templates are separate from your merge templates in Settings > Tracks, Merge & Brochures. Editing a merge template will not change the message sent when someone checks in using Pocket.
Overriding the Default Thank You Wording
- Go to Settings > Advanced Settings.
- Under Open Homes, open Kiosk - Thanks for Attending Templates.
- Choose which message you want to customise:
- To customise the email, tick Override default thank you template in the email section.
- To customise the SMS, tick Override default thank you template in the SMS section.
- Enter your own wording in the template field that appears.
- Save your changes.
From then on, anyone who checks in using Pocket will receive your custom wording instead of the default message. You can customise the email, the SMS, or both.
To go back to the default wording, untick Override default thank you template for that message.
Tips for Writing Your Thank You Message
Please Note: The thank you templates are a global setting for your whole Rex account. The same message is sent for every open home check-in in Pocket, no matter which agent or listing it is for.
Because of this, it's best to keep your wording fairly generic:
- Avoid naming a specific agent, or including one agent's mobile number or email address
- Avoid mentioning a specific property, suburb or open home time
- Thank the attendee for coming and let them know your team will be in touch
- Keep the SMS short and friendly, as long messages can be split into multiple SMS
