This article answers common questions about the Nexus integration and helps you fix the most frequent issues with setup, importing and linked properties.
❗ Please Note: New Zealand accounts see Valocity Nexus on screen and Australian accounts see REIP Nexus. The answers below apply to both regions.
❓ Setup and Access
Why can't I see Nexus under Integrations?
Only users with the privilege to manage integrations can see and activate integrations. Ask your Rex admin to set it up, or to check your privileges. The integration is also only available for Australian and New Zealand accounts.
My team can't import properties even though we've connected Nexus. Why?
Activating the integration doesn't give anyone import access, including the admin who activated it. An admin needs to give each user the Property Import permission on the Nexus connection. For the steps, see Nexus (Valocity NZ / REIP AU) Integration: Setting Up the Integration.
I see "Your current credentials don't have the required permissions to bulk import properties". What does this mean?
You don't have the Property Import permission yet. Ask your Rex admin to add it for you on the Nexus connection, then reload the import screen.
Our Applications menu says REIP Nexus, but we're in New Zealand. Is something wrong?
No. The menu shows the connection name your admin typed when the integration was set up. Your admin can rename the connection under Settings > Admin > Integrations.
Do we need our own Nexus subscription?
Yes. Rex connects to your agency's existing Nexus subscription and each user signs in with their own Nexus login.
❓ Importing Properties
I don't see any results when I search for a property. What should I check?
- Check the spelling of the street name.
- Make sure the suburb and postcode are correct.
- Confirm the property exists in Nexus by searching for it in Nexus directly.
How many properties can I import at once?
Up to 1,000 properties per import. A whole suburb will usually be more than this, so draw smaller map areas or import street by street.
A property wasn't imported and the log says its category isn't suitable. Why?
Nexus listed the property under a category that has no match in Rex, for example Other or Unknown. Only that property is skipped, the rest of the import carries on. You can try linking the property from its property record instead.
Some imported properties are missing their wall or roof construction. Why?
The value from Nexus didn't match an option in your account's wall or roof construction list, so it was skipped rather than guessed. The import results log shows which values were skipped. Add the matching option to your list, then import the property again to fill it in.
Why don't our imported New Zealand properties have a photo?
Valocity does not supply property photos for New Zealand. All other details import as normal.
Some properties we imported in New Zealand are missing the street type, for example "5 Pacific" instead of "5 Pacific Road". Why?
This affected some New Zealand imports before 6 October 2026 and has since been fixed. Update the address on any affected properties. If the same property was later imported again with the full address, you may have a duplicate record to merge.
Will importing again overwrite changes we've made in Rex?
No. When an existing property is updated, only empty fields are filled in.
Can I import owner details?
No. Owner and contact details are never imported from any property data provider due to privacy restrictions. Add the owner to the property as a related contact after importing.
❓ Linked Properties
A property won't match or link. What should I check?
Most of the time, the address is written differently in Rex and Nexus. Compare the two addresses carefully and update the Rex property if needed, then try connecting again from the Third Party Extensions panel.
I've linked a property but I don't see any Nexus data. What should I do?
- Reload the property record.
- Check that your Nexus subscription includes the data or reports you are looking for.
Can I send CMAs or appraisals from Nexus back into Rex?
Not at this stage. Data flows one way, from Nexus into Rex. Use View record in Nexus on the property to open your CMAs and reports in Nexus.
❓ Getting Help
Who do I contact if I'm still having issues?
- Rex Support - for help with the integration in Rex, such as setup, permissions, importing or linking.
- Valocity - for questions about your Nexus subscription, your login or the data available in Nexus.
