The Nexus integration connects your agency's Nexus subscription to Rex, so you can bring property details into Rex without typing them in by hand. It is available to agencies in Australia and New Zealand.
This article covers what the integration does, which name you will see in your region, what you need before you start, and which property details are imported.
What Is the Nexus Integration?
Nexus is a property data platform provided by Valocity. The integration links your Nexus subscription to Rex, so property details flow from Nexus into your Rex property records and you can open any linked property in Nexus with one click.
It works in a similar way to the other property data integrations in Rex. For more on those, see Introduction to the CoreLogic Integration and Introduction to the PriceFinder Integration.
Which Name Will I See, Valocity Nexus or REIP Nexus?
The integration has a different name depending on your region, but it works the same way in both:
- New Zealand accounts see Valocity Nexus
- Australian accounts see REIP Nexus
❗ Please Note: The name shown in your Applications menu and on your property records is the connection name your admin typed when they activated the integration. If your office named the connection something different, that is the name you will see until your admin renames it. See Nexus (Valocity NZ / REIP AU) Integration: Setting Up the Integration.
What Can I Do With the Nexus Integration?
- Import properties by street name - search a street and choose which properties to bring into Rex
- Import properties by map area - draw an area on the map and import the properties inside it
- Link a property you already have - connect an existing Rex property to its Nexus record
- Open a property in Nexus - go straight from the property record to Nexus, where you can access the CMAs, property reports and insights included in your subscription
- Review your imports - see imports in progress and completed imports, with a results log for each
For step-by-step instructions, see Nexus (Valocity NZ / REIP AU) Integration: Importing and Linking Properties.
What Do I Need Before I Start?
- A Nexus subscription for your country. Rex connects to your existing subscription, it does not supply the data. Each user signs in with their own Nexus login.
- 🔒 An admin to activate the integration. Only users who can manage integrations in Rex can activate it, and it is activated once for the whole office.
- 🔒 The Property Import permission. An admin must give this permission to each user who will import properties, including themselves. Activating the integration does not give anyone import access on its own.
- Permission to create and update properties. Users also need their usual Rex privileges to add and edit property records.
For the setup steps, see Nexus (Valocity NZ / REIP AU) Integration: Setting Up the Integration.
What Property Details Are Imported?
The details you receive depend on your region, because Valocity supplies different data for each market.
| Property detail | Australia | New Zealand |
|---|---|---|
| Address, suburb, state or region, and map location | Yes | Yes |
| Bedrooms, bathrooms, car spaces and land area | Yes | Yes |
| Property photo | Yes | No, Valocity does not supply photos for New Zealand |
| Rating valuation (capital value and valuation date) | No | Yes, shown in the property's Valuation section |
| Build year and floor area | No | Yes |
| Wall and roof construction | No | Yes, where the value matches an option in your account's lists |
| Owner and contact details | Never | Never |
❗ Please Note: Owner and contact details are never imported from any property data provider due to privacy restrictions. Add the owner to the property as a related contact after it is imported.
❗ Please Note: New Zealand properties are imported as Residential, Commercial or Rural. If Nexus lists a property under a category with no match in Rex (for example Other or Unknown), that property is skipped and the rest of the import carries on.
❓ FAQs
Do we need our own Nexus subscription?
Yes. Rex connects to your agency's existing Nexus subscription. If you don't have one, contact Valocity.
Is the Nexus integration available in the UK?
No. The integration is available for Australian and New Zealand accounts only.
Can I send CMAs or appraisals from Nexus back into Rex?
Not at this stage. Data flows one way, from Nexus into Rex. You can open the linked property in Nexus from the property record to view your CMAs and reports there.
Can we use Nexus alongside CoreLogic or PriceFinder?
Yes. Each property data integration is activated and managed separately, so you can choose the provider that suits your office.
