Self Check-in lets your open home attendees enter their own details, freeing up your hands during a busy inspection. Pocket gives you two ways to do this: Kiosk mode on your own device, or a QR code that attendees scan on their phones.
Starting Self Check-in
- Open Pocket and go to Open Homes.
- Open the open home you are running.
- Tap the ⋯ (menu) icon.
- Select Open Kiosk / QR Self Check-in.
From here you can choose Kiosk mode or QR code.
Kiosk Mode (On Your Device)
In Kiosk mode, you prop your phone or tablet up at the door and attendees enter their own details directly on your device. Each attendee fills in their details and checks themselves in, then hands the device to the next person.
QR Code (On the Attendee's Phone)
In QR mode, Pocket displays a QR code that attendees scan with their own phones. They then enter their details on their own device, so you only need to show the code rather than pass your phone around.
Exiting Self Check-in
Both Kiosk mode and QR mode are protected by a 4-digit PIN so attendees cannot accidentally (or deliberately) exit and access the rest of your device.
- To leave Self Check-in, enter your 4-digit PIN when prompted.
- Closing and relaunching Pocket will also exit Self Check-in mode.
Sending Brochures
Attendees who self check in can still be sent a brochure for the listing. If you are running Self Check-in offline, any brochures are queued and sent automatically once you are back online.
Please Note: Self Check-in works whether you are online or offline. If you are using it together with Offline Mode, attendee details are saved to your device and synced when you reconnect. See Pocket By Rex App: Taking Open Homes Offline in Pocket for more.
