Offline Mode lets you run an open home with no mobile reception. You can check in attendees, add notes, and record feedback, and Pocket saves everything on your device until you are back online.
Turning On Offline Mode
You can take any open home scheduled for today offline before you arrive at the property.
- Open Pocket and go to Open Homes.
- Open the open home you are running.
- Tap the ⋯ (menu) icon.
- Select Enable Offline Mode.
Once Offline Mode is on, you will see a banner confirming you are offline. Pocket hides anything you do not need while offline (such as extra tabs and the address fields) so the screen stays focused on checking people in. Your today's open homes are listed with the time each one was last synced.
Please Note: Offline Mode can only be turned on for open homes scheduled today. Past events cannot be taken offline.
Adding Attendees While Offline
The offline check-in form is stripped back so it is fast to fill in on a busy day.
- In the open home, tap Add Attendee.
- Enter the attendee's First Name, Last Name, and Phone number. These three fields are required.
- Add any of the optional details if you have them: Email, Postcode, Notes, and Feedback.
- Tap Save & Add Next to save that attendee and move straight on to the next one. A short confirmation will appear each time.
Adding Notes and Feedback Offline
You can add and edit notes and feedback against an attendee at any point while you are still offline. This means you can capture a quick comment when you check someone in, then go back and add their feedback before they leave.
Once an attendee's record has synced back to Rex, it becomes read-only in the offline view. For more on what happens when you reconnect, see Pocket By Rex App: Syncing Your Offline Open Home Data.
Please Note: Your offline data is stored securely on your device and stays there until it syncs. Closing and relaunching Pocket will exit Offline Mode, but your saved attendees are not lost and will sync when you are back online.
How Offline Attendees Match to Your Contacts
When your offline attendees sync, Pocket matches them to your existing contacts based on your Offline Contact Sync Preferences. You can set this to match against any contact, only contacts you own, or contacts you have update rights for. You will find this under Settings > Advanced > Offline Contact Preferences.
