Email Health shows you, in one place, whether the emails your agency sends are actually arriving. It highlights the addresses that are bouncing, the bulk sends that ran into trouble and the team members whose emails are failing, so you can clean up bad addresses before they affect the rest of your email.
This article covers what Email Health is, who can see it, where to find it and how often it updates.
What Is Email Health?
Email Health is a dashboard in the new Communication Centre that shows how your agency's email is performing over the last 7 or 30 days. It includes:
- How many emails were sent and delivered
- Your bounce, open and click rates
- Emails blocked before sending, and spam complaints
- The individual addresses and bulk sends that need attention, with the reason they failed
- Which team members' emails are bouncing
You can fix a failing address straight from the dashboard, for example by updating it, marking it invalid or unsubscribing the contact.
❗ Please Note: Email Health is in open beta. It's switched on for every agency, but the layout may still change. If something doesn't look right, or you have feedback, contact Rex Support.
Why Does Email Health Matter?
The emails that bounce aren't just newsletters. They can include inspection confirmations, appraisal or valuation bookings and match alerts.
Email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook judge everything an agency sends together. A list full of bad addresses can push your important emails into spam, and a sender's reputation is slow to rebuild once it drops. Spotting a rising bounce rate early, and cleaning up bad addresses, helps keep your emails arriving.
🔒 Who Can See Email Health?
Email Health needs the Access Email Health privilege. Super Admin, General Admin and roles with Manage applications already have it. Agents don't have it by default.
To give someone access:
- Go to Settings > Users & Security.
- Open the user or role.
- Go to Privileges > Email Health.
- Tick Access Email Health and save.
❗ Please Note: Email Health shows every contact's email address and delivery history, regardless of the record and office permissions that apply elsewhere in Rex. Only give access to people who need it. Being the account owner doesn't give access on its own.
For more on privileges, see - Privileges: Advanced Privileges Mode.
Where Do I Find Email Health?
Go to Other Lists > Communication Centre > Email Health.
Communication Centre also holds the Failed to Send and Scheduled Messages pages. For more on those, see - Communication Centre: Scheduled & Failed Messages.
If you don't have the Access Email Health privilege, you'll see the other Communication Centre pages but not Email Health.
What's the Difference Between Email Health and Failed to Send?
- Failed to Send lists messages Rex never sent, for example because of an invalid email address, a contact with no mobile number or an SMS that's too long.
- Email Health covers emails that were sent, including those that bounced, were blocked or were marked as spam after sending.
How Often Is Email Health Updated?
The figures are worked out once a night. The Last updated caption at the top of the dashboard shows when they were last refreshed.
If your account hasn't been processed yet, you'll see Analytics are being prepared. Check back the next day.
❓ FAQs
Do we need to switch Email Health on?
No. It's on for every agency. An admin only needs to give the Access Email Health privilege to anyone who doesn't already have it.
I can't see Email Health in the menu. Why?
You need the Access Email Health privilege. Ask your Rex admin to add it under Settings > Users & Security. Admin roles have it already, but agent roles don't.
Can I see more than the last 30 days?
No. You can choose the last 7 or 30 days.
Is Email Health available in Australia, New Zealand and the UK?
Yes. It's available to every agency in all three regions.
Does Email Health stop bad addresses getting into Rex?
No. It shows you the addresses that are already failing so you can fix them. It doesn't check addresses when contacts are added or imported.
What does open beta mean?
Every agency has Email Health, but the layout may still change and some figures are still being refined. Let Rex Support know if anything looks wrong.
