You can now save time and reduce manual entry by using template contracts in the Legal tab of a listing.
Template contracts let you save a contract as a reusable starting point. This makes it quicker and easier to create new contracts that follow a consistent format.
You can now;
Create template contracts directly from the Legal tab of a listing
Set user permissions to control who can view, duplicate, or manage templates
Duplicate a template to generate a new contract pre-filled with the same details
Keep in mind;
Each listing can have only one template contract at a time
Template contracts are linked to the listing and cannot change status
User Permissions;
Admins can control access to template contracts with the following permissions:
Read template contracts – allows users to view and duplicate templates
Create, update, purge template contracts – allows users to create, edit, or delete templates
Note: Users without the correct permissions will not see template options.
To Create a Template Contract;
Go to the Legal tab of a listing
Select or create a contract
Click Save as template contract
The saved template will appear at the top of the contracts list
How to Use a Template;
Once a template is saved, other users can:
Go to the same listing's Legal tab
Click Duplicate on the template contract
Make any changes to the duplicated version and save as a new contract
Why Use Template Contracts?
Using templates can improve consistency and save time. Here's how:
Efficiency: Skip repetitive setup for commonly used contracts
Accuracy: Maintain standard wording and formatting
Better workflows: Agents can start with a pre-filled contract and just make the necessary changes
