An email won't always be able to be automatically filed against all the recipients included in the email.
This might be because a Contact with a matching email address didn't exist in the system at the time the email was received, or maybe because of your personal Auto Filing settings.
Regardless of the reason - if you can't find the email filed against the Contact you'd expect it to be filed against, you can manually correct this and, where appropriate, add the email address to a Contact. Adding the email address to a Contact (or creating a new Contact) will ensure that any message to/from that Contact is filed successfully in the future.
You can access all of your filed and un-filed emails at any time by navigating to the Email Dropbox section:
- In the top right-hand corner of Rex, click on the icon that shows your initials (eg "RT") or your Profile Picture
- Select Email Dropbox
When you get to this screen, you'll land in a pre-filtered list that'll show you only those emails that the system couldn't file against any Contacts.
To view and search through all emails that have passed through your email Dropbox, simply exit the filter the same way you normally would by clicking the 'X' on the Blue 'filter' button.
From this screen:
- You can search through your Dropbox emails.
- You can manage which Contacts an email is attached to by clicking on the email and selecting 'File Against Contacts' (this option is also available from the action menu in each email).
- You can re-run the Auto File process by opening the action menu on the relevant email and selecting 'Attempt Auto File'. You should only perform this action if you've added new Contacts/email addresses since the email was first received.
