In Rex we have default roles that work for most offices, though you might want to customise them or create your own to suit your agency’s unique way of doing business.
There are two ways you can do this:
- Using Advanced Privileges
- Creating a Privilege set
While you could look at using the Advanced Privilege Mode to customise each privilege, this would take some time if you had to do this on multiple users.
If you create a privilege set, you apply that to all users that need it. If you need to change the privileges later, you don't need to update each user, you just update the privilege set.
Once you've created a privilege set, you can add by following the steps in: Advanced Privileges Mode
Creating Privilege Sets
- Go to Settings > Users & Security > Privilege Sets
- Click the + symbol to create a new set
- Enter a name and a description
- Click Create
- Tick the privileges you wish to include
- Click Save
Alternatively, you can duplicate a Rex default Privilege Set, then modify.
- Go to Settings > Users & Security > Privilege Sets
- Choose the Privilege Set you wish to duplicate
- At the top, click Duplicate
- Enter a name and a description
- Click Create
- Tick the privileges you wish to include
- Click Save
Promoting to Role
If you would like your privilege set to be promoted to a Role, you'll need to:
- Go to Settings > Users & Security > Privilege Sets
- Choose the Privilege Set you wish to promote to a role
- At the top, click Promote to Role
