Rex, like many web applications, has what is called an API (Application Programming Interface). This allows different applications to talk to each other and share information.
When we talk about Third Party Integrations or Extensions, we mean setting up a connection between Rex and another application or service provider.
Using Third Party Integrations
There are a number of existing integrations available, and they all behave a little differently, though they share a few common characteristics:
- They are commonly accessed in the appropriate modules via the right bar on Rex records (Contacts, Properties and/or Listings).

Where available, they expose a control panel or additional functionality via the Applications menu.
- Integrations can be managed, and permissions applied, from the Admin > Integrations menu.
- Integrations can be locked down on a per-user basis, restricting access to the integration in general.
