Leads can be set up within Rex entirely by yourself, however we do encourage you to contact support@rexsoftware.com.au if you encounter any issues with setting them up.
Leads is a very simple system - how it works is by you getting your portals to send your enquiry to a different email address, that Rex has access to. This means that there are two steps to setting up Leads - they are:

Finding your Leads Email Address
If you're an admin user attempting to set up for all users, you'll need to get the agents Leads Dropbox Email address - you can contact Rex Support for this info.
If you're an agent and you're updating your own lead's address on the various sites you list on, you can get your unique leads address by:
- In the top right-hand corner of Rex, click on the icon that shows your initials (eg "RT") or your Profile Picture
- Select My Settings
- In the left-hand menu, choose Leads
- Copy the email address shown under Your Leads Dropbox Address
Finding Other User Leads E-mail Address
If you need to get the lead email addresses of other users in your account, you can go to Settings > Users & Security.
Once there, simply hover over the specific user and click the dropdown arrow > select Copy Leads Email.
This will copy the leads email address directly to your clipboard, which will allow you to paste it elsewhere to compile your list.
Using the Agency Leads E-mail Address
If you're an admin user and you want all leads to be sent to a generic leads address, where you can then assign to the agents, you need to get the Agency Leads Dropbox email address. To do this:
- From the left side menu, go to Settings > Under other, go to Advanced Settings
- In the left-hand menu, choose Leads
- Copy the email address shown under Your Leads Dropbox Address
Updating the portals to your new Leads E-mail
Once you have you have the Leads Dropbox Email address/addresses, you need to update your email address on the various portals. Once they have the Leads address, the enquiries will be sent to that address and will appear in Rex. There are two methods to updating the email address enquiries are sent to:
- Update in Agent Admin and portal back-end - used by Realestate.com.au
- Update the email address that is sent to the portals in the back-end of Rex - used by a large number of portals including Domain.com.au
Outside of Realestate.com.au and Domain, we encourage you to contact the portal provider with details on the manner in which your Rex leads email will be used.
Set-up: Website admin (Realestate.com.au)
Some sites like Realestate.com.au let you log into the back-end and change the email address that they send the enquiries to. Log in to Agent Admin at realestate.com.au, then navigate to Manage Profiles > Edit Profiles (Your Agents) in order to find the list of agents and their current contact emails.
Click the edit icon to the right of an agent, then change the contact email address to be your normal email address, followed by your lead's address (separated by a comma then a space). Click save at the bottom of the agent's profile once this is done.
e.g. agent@yourrealestateoffice.com.au, 123.1234@leaddrop.rexsoftware.com
This is to make sure any reports sent from REA go to your normal email address - the first address supplied - whilst only leads are sent to your second, leads address.
Set-up: Email sent to portals from Rex back-end (Domain.com.au)
For other sites that don't have a login through agent admin that lets you update your contact email address - like Domain - you'll need to update the email address Rex sends the portal. Note: You can't set two email addresses on Domain - if you set up leads with them, you'll only get enquiries into Rex, and not your normal email address. Please note - an admin user must perform the below changes.
Using an admin account:
- From the left-side menu go to Settings > Under other, go to Users & Security
- Open the Agents profile
- Go into the Portal Options tab
- Change the email to send to portal option from User Profile to Custom
- Enter the Leads email address - e.g. 123.1234@leaddrop.rexsoftware.com
- Click Save
Set-up: Realestate.co.nz
To change the email address that your enquiries go to to your Rex Leaddrop address, you will need to get in touch with Realestate.co.nz Support directly & provide them with the relevant email addresses to get this set up.
After making the change, you'll need to force a re-feed of the agent's (Or agency's) listings to update the Leads address on the portals. For info on this, see Portals & Publication: Force Upload multiple listings.
