Leads brings your portal enquiries directly into Rex as Leads you can action. You can set it up yourself in two steps, and if you run into any issues, contact support@rexsoftware.com.au and we'll help.
This article explains how Leads works and the two steps at a high level, then links you to the detailed setup guide for each portal.
How Leads Works
Leads works by having your portals send enquiries to a special Rex Leads Dropbox email address that Rex can access. When an enquiry is sent to that address, it appears in Rex as a Lead. Setting this up is a two-step process:
- Get your Leads email address from Rex.
- Add that address to your portals so enquiries are sent to it.
Step 1: Get Your Leads Email Address
You can find your own Leads address, another user's, or a shared agency address. For the steps, see Leads: Finding Your Leads Email Address.
Step 2: Add Your Leads Address to Your Portals
How you do this depends on the portal. Some let you change the enquiry email in their own back-end (like Realestate.com.au), while others are controlled from within Rex (like Domain). Use the guide for your portal:
- Leads: Setting Up Leads on Realestate.com.au
- Leads: Setting Up Leads on Domain.com.au
- Leads: Setting Up Leads on Realestate.co.nz
For any portal other than Realestate.com.au and Domain, contact the portal provider directly and let them know how your Rex Leads email address will be used.
After Setup
Once you've updated a portal, force a re-feed of the agent's (or agency's) listings so the new Leads address is sent through. For the steps, see Portals & Publication: How do I Force Upload Multiple Listings?.
If you'd like to be notified whenever a Lead comes in, you can turn notifications on or off in your own Rex profile.
