To ensure secure access to the Vendor Portal, Rex uses signed links—a secure and seamless way to verify a vendor’s identity and control what they can view.
What is a Signed Link?
A signed link acts like a digital passport. It contains encrypted information that proves:
Who the vendor is
Which listings they’re allowed to access
When the link expires
How It Works
Sent to a Secured Email
The link is emailed directly to the vendor. Because most email accounts require a login (and often MFA), this step ensures only the intended person can retrieve it.Hidden, Encrypted Data
The link includes embedded data that’s not visible or accessible from the outside, such as the user’s identity and their permissions.Strict Access Control
Even if someone has the web address of the Vendor Portal, they can’t access it without the exact signed link. This ensures only verified users can view sensitive information.
Why It Matters
This approach removes the need for passwords or account creation, while still maintaining a high level of security and privacy for your clients.
