If you select a link on the left, you then get a detailed view of it on the right - there are a few things we can do here:
Pending Milestones
At the bottom of each link, you can add milestones to track the progression of the selected sale. To add individual Milestones just click Add milestone, then enter the details.
Once the milestone has been completed, click into it, then tick the box for completed and enter the date it was completed.
Best Practice Tip: If you have a standard procedure in place for the sales progression in your agency, we recommend setting up a predefined list of milestones, meaning each time you add a link your custom Milestones will be automatically populated.
You will need to have your Super Admin user set this up in Value Lists.
Actions
Clicking on the red pencil next to Property address on a link, gives you several options:
- Edit - to update the details of the link or the branch offer
- Mark as end of chain - use this to mark the end of the chain
- Mark as start of chain - Use this to mark the beginning of the chain
Once the sale has been completed, or has fallen, you can click on Archive in the top right-hand corner. From there, choose a reason, then click Archive.
Adding Notes to a Link
As you progress through the sale, you may need to take notes that relate to a specific link on a chain.
To attach a note, select the relevant link and click the + found in the notes section on the right-hand side.
By default any note added to the link of a chain, will be added against the related Property/Listing record.
Sending an email from a Link
Sometimes, you may need to send an email to a related contact about the link of a chain. For example, following up with the Buyer’s Solicitor.
By using the Email button in the middle of each chain link, you can send an email directly to:
- The Vendor
- The Vendor’s Solicitor
- The Purchaser
- The Purchaser’s Solicitor
Important Note: If you are not able to see the details of your Purchaser’s Solicitor, check your offer to ensure you have added these details.
