In order to use the 'Referrals' function, users will need the appropriate Privileges assigned to their profile.
Admin users will have access to the referrals by default, however, the privileges can be assigned to Agents and other users on a case by case basis. To add these privileges, follow the below steps:
- Select 'Settings' > 'Users & Security'
- Open the required user from the list > Select 'Privileges'
- Scroll to the bottom and expand the 'Referrals' section
- Apply the appropriate privileges by ticking the checkboxes - the options are as below:
Create
- Allows a user to create a referral under any contact or listing record. The user can always read / update / archive any referral if they sent the referral.
Read (All under Parent Record w/Read Permission)
- Allows a user to read ANY referral as long as the user has read permissions on either the contact or listing associated with the referral.
Read (All under Parent Record w/Update Permission)
- Allows a user to read ANY referral as long as the user has update permissions on either the contact or listing associated with the referral.
Read (All under Parent Record w/Ownership)
- Allows a user to read ANY referral as long as the user is the current record owner on either the contact or listing associated with the referral.
Read Any
- Allows a user to read ANY referral.
Update Status & Archive (All under Parent Record w/Update Permission)
- Allows a user to update the status & archive a referral as long as the user has update permissions on either the contact or listing associated with the referral.
Update Status & Archive (All under Parent Record w/Ownership)
- Allows a user to update the status & archive a referral as long as the user is the current record owner of either the contact or listing associated with the referral.
Update Status & Archive Any
- Allows a user to update the status & archive ANY referral.
Delete
- Allows a user to delete a referral if they created the referral.
Delete Any
- Allows a user to delete ANY referral.
There's an additional section for 'Admin Referrals' just below, which essentially gives users access to the backend of the Referrals functionality. Privileges that can be applied here are as below:
Manage Referral Categories
- Allows the user to manage referral categories.
View Referral Template Merge Section
- Allows the user to access the referral merge template management section.
Manage Referral Merge Templates
- Allows the user to manage referral merge templates
Save your changes when you're finished here to apply the updates to the user's profile.
