Email landing in client junk? There may be three reasons:
- Bad email content (your emails look like junk - We can't really help with this one);
- Email security (SPF / DKIM / DMARC);
Bad Email Content
If you send email content with certain words in the subject line or body, you are likely to trigger spam filters (especially sensitive ones).
Here is an article that provides some guidance on this: https://blog.hubspot.com/blog/tabid/6307/bid/30684/the-ultimate-list-of-email-spam-trigger-words.aspx
If your email content is consistently bad - or you continually break spam policy - there's a strong possibility your emails will begin to be blocked (And there is nothing we can do to help you after this happens).
SPF & DKIM
Email security is a somewhat complicated subject. If you're getting a large number of issues with emails sent from Rex being marked as spam / junk, you may need to get your email service provider to update the SPF and DKIM related DNS records.
We unfortunately cannot help you actually configure the below so please hand this next bit off to your IT team (or the team that manages your domain / DNS records).
SPF
For more information on SPF entries, please see here: https://www.dmarcanalyzer.com/spf/
Steps you can take to increase your delivery - pass the following on to your IT team and / or your DNS provider:
DKIM
For more information on DKIM, please see here:https://www.sparkpost.com/resources/email-explained/dkim-domainkeys-identified-mail/
If you use DMARC you MUST enable this feature for compliant DKIM signing.
If you do not use DMARC, then enabling DKIM is optional but will likely have materially improve the deliverability of your emails.
To enable this feature, you will need to add the DNS entries documented in the "Required DNS Entries" section below.
DMARC
If your IT team has fully enabled DMARC without completing the steps above for BOTH DKIM and SPF, your emails are guaranteed to go to junk mail 100% of the time on all servers that have implemented DMARC support.
Required DNS Entries for DKIM
Important note: Once you have configured the cname records for DKIM documented below, please contact our support team so that we can activate the relevant feature.
The entries are different depending on whether you are in the UK or AU so please pay attention.
Australia and New Zealand

United Kingdom
DKIM
You will need to create 3 CNAME entries:
