Overview
At times LJ Hooker may provide pre-created HTML newsletter templates for you to send out to your email subscribers. These templates may include:
- Home Newsletter
- Property Managment Newsletter
- Tenant Talk Newsletter
- Street Smart Newsletter
HTML is one of the programming languages that make up web pages, and can be used to create newsletter templates. These might look complicated and scary - but luckily there'll be no coding required on your part. You can leave that up to Head Office, and simply copy and paste the code they provide you.
However, the HTML templates that LJ Hooker provide will include certain peices of office-specific information that you'll need to replace (e.g. the name of your office, phone numbers, etc). To deal with this, we've created a special template that will replace certain generic peices of text (e.g. "OFFICE_PHONE") with your office's details for you.
Creating a newsletter from custom HTML
First you need to get the code from the HTML file
- Open the html file they've sent you in a web browser
- Right click anywhere on the page
- Choose View Page Source
- Select all of the text and Copy it
Once you have the HTML file from LJ Hooker Head Office, navigate to Admin > Newsletters
- Click the [+] icon in the top left of the screen to create a new campiagn
- Name your newsletter campiagn
- Select LJ Hooker Custom HTML as your template type
- Click Save
- Set up your campaign as normal and then navigate to the second step: Customise the template
- Add a new HTML Content section, (this is the only section available for this template)
- Hover your curser over the section you just created and click Edit
- Paste the entire contents of the HTML file into the appropriate field
- Click Save
- Proceed to the next step (Plain Text Version) and specify in the text that you'd like your users to see if their email browser only supports plain text (the textual data without any formatting). You may need to contact Head Office and see what they would like you to include here. Alternatively, you can enter the title of the newsletter followed by "View the HTML Version: {{collect_html_link}}" in this field (i.e: Example Title View the HTML Version: {{collect_html_link}} )
