System Values allow you to manage and customise the main value lists throughout the system. An important point to note is the difference between what we call 'System Defaults' and 'Custom Values'.
This is particularly important for real estate portals. Some of the fields that you can customise are internal fields, like lists of local agencies or inspection requirements. You also have public fields which go up to the Property portals and relate specifically to Listings. It’s important to understand that in those instances you can’t create your own values. The System Defaults in Rex are defaults which the portals have provided to us. These are the only values which will be uploaded to the portals.
Custom values you create can be used for internal use, accessed in buyer criteria for automated matching and via API on your own website. They cannot, however, be used to push data to the portals. The portals will not accept them.
Rex gives you the ability to add your own Custom Values and System Tags. This could include; Property features, Enquiry sources, Rental allowances, Tags, etc. You must have the correct privileges for this. If you don’t see the options below, you’ll need to ask your Super Admin user to assign them to you.
