To understand what fields are best to use for your custom tabs, we’ve listed what fields are available to use and what those fields do.
- Long Text - Best for when more than one sentence of text is required.
- Short Text - Best for when minimal text is required or for entering URL’s. When using this field, you will have the option to choose to keep this as Plain Text or use a URL.
- Select Box - Best for when you have multiple options to choose from but only one answer is applicable.
- Select Box (Multi) - Best for when you have multiple options to choose from and more than one answer is applicable.
- Checkbox - Allows you to have a checkbox against the text box you’ve entered (eg Has the house been personally inspected? Check the box for yes).
- Date - Allows you to use a date.
- Number - Allows you to enter in only numbers or a currency. When using this field, you will have the option to choose either Number or Currency.
- Time - Allows you to use a specific time.
- File - Allows you to upload a specific file straight from your device.
- Record - Allows you to link one specific record. When using this field, you will have the option to choose what record type you’d like to link. This is helpful for when you’d like to record custom relationships.
- Record (Multi) - Allows you to link multiple records.
