Normally, portal uploads are completely automatic - you make a change and Rex will queue the upload almost immediately. You'll see that the change has been queued for upload in the right-hand pane of the Listing (the green dot will change to yellow and the word "queued" will appear).
In some cases however, you may be required to perform a Force Upload of a Listing - this means making Rex upload the details of a Listing to a portal even though it hasn't detected any changes that require an upload.
You may need to force a portal upload in the following case:
- If you see a red error in the right-hand pane indicating an FTP connection error of some kind - a specific portal may be having trouble with their FTP. Although all the other portals have successfully had files uploaded, this one has failed.
- If/when support asks you to.
To force a portal upload:
- Open the Listing
- Hover over Portal Settings in the right hand bar
- Click the Red 'pen' icon
- In the 'Portal Settings' dialog that appears, click 'Save' without making any further changes
Once the dialog closes, you should see the status change to 'queued' in the right-hand pane immediately - this means that the data is in the process of being fed to the portals.
