You can relate Properties to your Building records in three different ways:
- From within a Property record
- When adding a Property record
- From within the Building record
Relating a Property to a Building within a Property Record
- Hover over Properties in the left side menu & click All Buildings
- Select the Property you wish to associate with a Building record in Rex
- Hover over the address at the top of the Property record
- Click the Red pen symbol
- In the Building field, type the name of your Building. If your building already exists in Rex, we'll suggest the Building when you start typing so you can select it. If your Building doesn't exist in Rex, select + Add Building
- Add the required information
- Click 'Save'
The Building name will now show up under the Property address.
Relating a Property to a Building when adding a Property
- Click on the + button next to the search bar in the top-right of Rex
- Select Add Property
- In the Building field, type the name of your Building. If your building already exists in Rex, we'll suggest the Building when you start typing so you can select it. If your Building doesn't exist in Rex, select + Add Building
- Add the required information
- Fill out the other Property details
- Click Add Property
Relating a new Property to a Building from the Building Record
The steps below are used to add a new Property into Rex and automatically associate it with a Building - this won't allow you to add an existing Property in the system into the Building.
- Hover over Properties in the left side menu & click All Buildings
- Select the Building you'd like to add a Property to
- Click the Red + symbol next to Add new Property
- Enter the Property type (eg; Residential, Rural, Business, Commercial, Land)
- Enter the address
- Click Save
This will create a new Property record in Rex.
