After creating the Contact, you'll be taken through to the new record where you can add more info if you like. From here you can update a number of other items, but we'll look at updating the name info in this article. Here we can add titles, middle names, salutations and other Contacts.
Note - it's a good idea to add partners into the same record. This is so they merge correctly when sending letters/emails etc.
Editing Names
To see these options, hover over the Contact's name and click the Red edit button.
Along with updating the Contact's name, you can also:
- Title - add a title for the Contact
- Add middle name - enter a middle name field for your Contact
- Add another name - use this to add another Contact to this record. Use this for married couples etc.
If you tick the option advanced name values, it will reveal further fields that can be used in mail merges:
- salutation
- legal
- addressee
