Mass Actions (Making Changes To Multiple Records Simultaneously)

Rex includes Mass Action functionality to allow you to make changes to multiple records at once. 

Mass actions are permissions restricted

Because Mass Actions have the potential to make drastic changes across your database, access to mass actions functionality requires a user to have a "super admin" role, or specific Mass Action privileges assigned to their account.   

How do I perform a mass action?

Navigate to the list view in the Contacts, Properties or Listings modules. Select the records you want to apply the mass action to OR select all records in the current list.

Click the Mass Actions button at the top of the list view and choose the action you want to apply. 

What mass actions are available?

The following mass actions are available in the Contacts module:

  • Add tags
  • Remove tags
  • Add mailing list *
  • Remove mailing list
  • Reassign owner
  • Reassign reminders
  • Change record state (Active; Archived or Trashed)
  • Assign permissions
  • Remove permissions
Please Note: Contacts may not be added to a mailing list if they have previously unsubscribed from that list.  Contacts that have unsubscribed from a list need to be manually re-subscribed in the record view (from the right bar). 

The following mass actions are available in the Properties module: 

  • Add tags
  • Remove tags
  • Reassign owner
  • Reassign reminders
  • Change record state (Active; Archived or Trashed)
  • Assign permissions
  • Remove permissions

The following mass actions (called "publication actions") are available in the Listings module:

  • Change publication channels
  • Publish
  • Reset portal statuses
  • Change portal feed status
  • Force portal upload
Please note: You should only use the listing module "publication actions" option if you have had explicit instructions from Rex Support Staff.
