Found in the Right-hand Pane on all record types, you'll see a 'Related' section - this is used to link records to each other. For example, I could link a contact to the Property that they own, or a property where they were previously a tenant. You can then click on the related record to quickly open that record.
Adding a Related Contact/Property to a Contact/Property Record
- From the Record you're viewing, hover over Related Contacts/Properties in the Right-hand Pane
- Click the red Plus button that appears
- Enter the name of your contact/property - if they don't exist click Add Contact/Property
- Enter the relationship to the record in the bottom field
- Click Save
When adding a related contact to another contact record, you do have the option to create a custom relationship. To do this, simply just start typing in the relationship type and select + Custom Relationship.
Choosing a Custom Relationship Types for a Property - Contact relationship is a little bit different and you'll need to set these up prior to choosing your relationship type on the record. To do this, see Custom Relationship Types.
Adding a Related Contact to a Listing Record
- From the listing record you're viewing, hover over Related Contacts in the Right-hand Pane
- Click the red Plus button that appears
- Enter the name of your contact - if they don't exist click Add Contact
- Enter the relationship to the record in the bottom field
- Click Save
Adding Custom Relationship Types to listing is a little bit different and you'll need to set these up prior to choosing your relationship type on the listing record. To do this, see Custom Relationship Types.
Editing or Removing the Related Record
- Hover over the Related Record in the Right-hand Pane
- Click the red Edit button
- Update the details or click Remove to remove the related record
- Click Save
