The Xero integration allows you to export invoices from Rex into Xero, sync payments received from Xero back into Rex, and apply them to the relevant invoice.
You can only doing this after setting up the Xero integration. For steps to get this set up, see Setting up the Xero Integration.
Syncing invoices to Xero
To sync invoices to Xero;
- Go to 'Financials' in the left side menu > 'Sync Invoices'
- In the 'Invoices' list, click the checkbox on the invoices you'd like to sync
- Click the Red ‘Sync’ button on the top right
You may see errors in some of the following cases:
- An invoice does does not have an account code mapped to it
- To rectify, click on the invoice and set an account code on the associated line item
- One or more account codes are not mapped to Xero

You may also choose to ignore an invoice for the purposes of syncing. To do so;
- Go to 'Financials' in the left side menu > 'Sync Invoices'
- In the invoices list, hover over the invoice you'd like to ignore
- Click the menu dropdown and click on 'Ignore invoice'
- This will hide the invoice from the 'Sync Invoices' list
Syncing payments from Xero
Rex also supports syncing invoice payments back into Rex against the original invoice. This will create a payment against the relevant listing and invoice. If overpayments are enabled, they will also be created if applicable (except for bills).
To sync payments into Rex:
- Go to 'Financials' in the left side menu > 'Sync Invoices'
- In the payments list, click the checkbox on the payments you'd like to sync
- Click the red ‘Sync’ button at the top right
